Hi all,

I'm currently trying to get an external USB floppy drive to work
under Debian with the 2.4.20 kernel. I've got usb-storage and the
usb filesystem compiled into the kernel, and I've loaded the ehci-hcd
module. My /etc/fstab looks like this:

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbdev /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0
/dev/sda /mnt/usbfloppy auto noauto,user 0 0
...

But when I try to mount /dev/sda, I get

mount: /dev/sda is not a valid block device

I tried /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb, to no avail. It seems that the drive
is not detected: when I run cdrecord -scanbus, it only finds my cdrw.
What could be the problem, and how do I solve it? Maybe the relevant
dmesg and lsusb lines can be of help? I'll include them:

dmesg:
