Debian on dell 530 dual xeon

Hi there,

I have a Dell 530 dual Xeon 2GHz and I am interested in running Debian.
They have two precompiled kernel options that I could use, i386 and IA64.

Which one should I use for a first intallation?

At the moment I have SuSE 7.3, it works OK but it's getting dusty.
