Hello,
I have troubles getting USB to work on a 2.4.22 kernel. In make
menuconfig I have ticked the following options:
- Support for USB
- Preliminary USB device filesystem
- EHCI HCD (USB 2.0) support
- UHCI Alternate Driver (JE) support
- OHCI (Compaq, iMacs, OPTi, SiS, ALi, ...) support
- USB Mass Storage support
- Datafab MDCFE-B Compact Flash Reader support
- Freecom USB/ATAPI Bridge support
- ISD-200 USB/ATA Bridge support
- Microtech CompactFlash/SmartMedia support
- SanDisk SDDR-09 (and other SmartMedia) support
- SanDisk SDDR-55 SmartMedia support
- Lexar Jumpshot Compact Flash Reader
USB is activated in the BIOS setup, /dev/usb has its various nodes. I
have tried an mp3man, a digital still camera and a USB Compact Flash
cardreader and nothing shows up in /proc/bus/usb/devices.
/var/log/messages has the following USB stuff:
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: Linux Kernel Card Services 3.1.22
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: options: [pci] [cardbus] [pm]
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: usb.c: registered new driver hub
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: host/uhci.c: USB Universal Host
Controller Interface driver v1.1
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: usb.c: registered new driver
usb-storage
Aug 28 14:54:44 Walter kernel: USB Mass Storage support registered.
Hotplug is installed and running.
SCSI support is in the kernel as well. I am getting rather desperate
about this, anyone here that can help me?
Regards,
Walter
