The /dev/input/event* device does not exist on my machine. With Slack
8.2 I could cat /dev/psaux and get output from all buttons, but on Slack
9.0, this does not work unless I connect the mouse to /dev/ttyS1 with an
adapter, when cat /dev/ttyS1 will create output from the extra buttons.

Without testing, I presume it is the different kernel that caused the
change.

So how can I adapt the program for a mouse that uses the explorer protocol?
