I have two of the $199 Wal-Mart systems. The first is about a year
old and the second is about six months old. I added a case fan (out of
paranoia) and a floppy disk drive (rarely used) to each one, and another
80Gb of disk to one. That one runs 24/7 and the other about 50%. The
machine with the extra disk occasionally doesn't want to start BIOS on
power up but the problem is immediately identifiable, and fixable by
cycling the power again. Other than that, I like the machines. I bought
the first with Lindows but overwrote it with RedHat after a month because
I didn't want my wife running a "root" all the time. The second system was
purchased "bare" and, again, I added RedHat. Everything works.
