Whoa, sounds like you've tried everything.

I have the same mobo with a 2700+ and 1G OCZ EL PC3500 ram. It has been rock
stable. However if I set a umda setting it didn't like the the system would
do a slow lockup over a minute or two and then require a hard reboot. But
seeing as you have even swapped out your mobo, I'm not sure this is the
problem.

It sounds to me like you have tried alternatives of all the major items.
However a couple of things spring to mind. One is that it does not look
like you have tried alternative HDDs. Considering that you say it has
locked up during fschks, maybe you have a dodgy drive.

Secondly take the Audigy out. Try running with the Nforces audio (this is
what I use and it's fine for my purposes which include gaming). Mayne this
card is causing a problem.

Another possibility is the PSU. PCs with PSUs that are not quite big enough
can do all sorts of strange things. I'm not inclined to think this is it,
but you never know. So if you can, try a bigger one.

Hope this helps.
Derek.
