Hi,
I've a Mandrake 9.1 system which works fine except for the audio. I can't
get any sound out although the hardware is fine (it's a dual boot and
sound is OK in Windows).
Hardware details:
I've an intergrated Athlon motherboard made by ECS model L7VMM2 (ver 1.1).
Among others, it includes an integrated AC 97 2.2 sound chip.
The chips are made by VIA.
Mandrake correctly picked VIA sound driver, yet I could not get any sound
out neither from that driver, nor from another VIA driver included with
Mandrake. I've verified that the audio is NOT in mute.
Has anybody managed to get sound of that board in Linux?
Thanks in advance.
