The only thing I know that will cause this is a malformed header in the PS
or PDF file. See for example http://www.linuxprinting.org
printing-faq.html#q_6_6.

But if you have this problem with all PS or PDF files, that doesn't seem to
be the cause. I don't know, but look around on linuxprinting.org. They
have a lot of information.
