Hi,
Whenever I try to make copy an image to my floppy with dd (whether
directly, or make a floppy with yast) my system freezes (completely, no
mouse, keyboard or telnet input possible) halfway along the copying
process. Is this something somebody has experienced, too? A hardware
problem with the floppy drive maybe? How can I test the floppy drive? (I
know how to test harddrives, but no ideas about floppies).
Any help deeply appreciated.
alex
PS. SuSE 9.0 2.4.21-99smp4g, brand new (two days old, just discovered
then that the old one, which I had not used for years, was fucked) Sony
