I have an Abit IS7 motherboard (Intel 865 PE chipset) and am having
trouble getting it to power down automatically under Red Hat 9. I am
using the stock SMP kernel (not sure of the version as I am not at the
machine right now, but I just installed it about 1 month ago with
up2date.) Prior to the upgrade I was using the default installed
kernel and the power off did not work then either.
I had no problem with auto power off on a different P4 machine and Red
Hat 9 using the stock kernel (not SMP though.)
I have tried adding various parameters in my lilo config with no luck.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks.
