Dell Dimension 2400 bios?

   I just got a Dell Dimension 2400 with an Intel MB in it, the bios seems to
be Dell, but I'm wondering if it can be reflashed with something else? The big
problem is that in the bios the onboard i845 vid chip can be set to use 1mb or
8mb ram (of the shared mem), but the xfree86 (4.3.x) drivers want to use 32mb.
Nothing I've tried thus far will get it to function right, I've got X working
more or less, but with the colors are awful.
