Problem: serial ATA

I am total newbie in Linux. Now I am trying to install Mandrake 9.2 -5star
on my computer:

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+ , 512MB RAM,
BIOSVersion: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG,
VIA KT600 GA-7VT600 1394 (Gigabyte),
RADEON 9200 GV-R21128DH (Gigabyte),
Serial ATA RAID , ST312002 6AS (Seagate),
LITE-ON COMBO LTC-48161H,
monitor Flatron LCD L1510M (LG).

Unfortunatelly, the Linux can't see the hd Serial ATA. Also I'd tryed with
Aurox9.1 and Knoppix3.2, with the same result. I read other posts on groups,
but still I can't see any solution for me.
Is here anyone who will spend some time to give me any idea or instruction
how to do it?
