Sounds like you're in for some fun! There is a wealth of info on the GTKam
website, which I would suggest making your second stop (after more
googling). It is highly possible that the model(s) is only slightly
supported. One of the best and simplest ways around all of this is to
utilise standard USB Mass storage, and pick up a cheapo USB memory card
ready and if your cameras have removeable memory, access it that way.
If you have multiple types, then you can get multiple-card readers, just a
little kernel tweaking may be required. (All of this is an easy fix,
though!)
Also try updating your version of GTKam - if it's the default install with
SuSe, it's likely to be outdated!
