What did you want them to do? Can you expand on what you want to have
happen when you press these extra keys?

OK, so you press one special key on your keyboard and get KeyPress and
KeyRelease events with keycode 159 and keysym NoSymbol. Another special
key generates keycode 157. This is actually a good sign. You can use
xbindkeys (and, if necessary, xmacroplay) to bind these extra keys to
invoke any program you want or (using xmacroplay) send any combination
of other keys to the X server.
