LG updated the firmware because of the problem? Or you can't tell
which of their updates is needed in general? (I can't even get to
their site right now for some reason.)

Well, some people at IBM are. IBM itself back-pedaled on that story,
which has caused them to be criticized for not having the gumption to
actually do it anyway just as a marketing ploy if no other reason. Of
course, while the IT people may want to do it, the bean-counters will
want a cost justification first - even though it may seem obvious that
IBM is obviously one company that could easily support a switch to
Linux even for their scores of thousands of employees.
