On a laptop, Dell Latitude cpi, after installing Debian 3.0r1, the network
card is a Xircom Realport Cardbus Ethernet + Modem (has an rj45 port and
rj11 port on the same card).
eth0 shows as being up, but when I look at the output of 'pcmcia restart' ,
it looks like it is only seeing a serial port, which I am understanding as
seeing the modem.
What I get is:
tulip_attach(device 23:00.0)
tulip.c:v0.91g-ppc
eth0:Xircom Cardbus Adapter (DEC 21143 compatible mode) rev 3 at 0x200,
00:10:a4:98:1f::f2, irq 11
eth0: MII transciever #0 config 3100 status 7809 advertising 01e1
serial_attach(device 23:00.0)
tty00 at 0x0200 (irq = 11 ) is a 16550a

Am I right in thinking that it is seeing eth0 as the modem ? And not seeing
the network port ? And does anyone know what I would do to fix it ?
Thanks
