Hi.
I'm getting a strange behaviour with one hd. Mounting it without
specifying all options (partition and directory) I get:
quantum root # mount /dev/hdb1
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb1,
or too many mounted file systems
And
quantum root # mount /dev/hdb1 /download/
Succeeds. The strange thing is this: in my fstab all is right!
/dev/hdb1 /download ext3 user,noauto,umask=000 0 0
Anyway, sometimes the BIOS does not recognize the hd, and at boot time I
hear strange ticks, like an old clock. What is this?
Should I burn the hd and buy a new one? (I saved my critical data in
another partition... who knows!)
