Seagate 120GB HD Prob

    Hello all:

    I'm having a problem getting my seagate 120gb HDD to be read by linux.
     I'm using kernel 2.4.22 with slackware on a PII 166 pc. I'm not sure
    why or where to start looking for the problem. Intel Chipset
    SB82437FX... I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem...
    any help would be greatful
