You can ignore my previous post about trying your suggestion (except for
the part where I thank you for the tip :-).
I tried it and got exactly the same result. As soon as the camera sensed
it was attached to my computer, it was locked up tighter than a drum. :-(.
# lsmod | grep usb
usb-storage 73536 0 (unused)
scsi_mod 106520 3 [usb-storage sg sr_mod ide-scsi]
usb-ohci 21320 0 (unused)
usbcore 78272 1 [usb-storage hid usb-ohci]
Anything else I should try?
