Hi!

I'm looking for a supported IDE hardware RAID controller, with
supported I mean OSS driver that are *included* in the kernel.

Additional *CLI* *tools* for setup, controlling and alike, MIBs
would be nice for net-snmp.

Ability to hot-swap would be nice but isn't a must have.

Didn't found that much until now, from this overview:

http://www.linuxforum.com/linux-hardware/ideraid.html

Most don't have native driver, you need to taint the kernel and
are required to run some distro kernel, which isn't an option for
me.

This one looks promising, no driver needed and it comes with CLI
config tools.

Not really cheap, has anyone used this kind of controller and can
share his experience?

If there are other hardware IDE controller, with the required
specs, please let me know.

A mobo with an integrated IDE RAID would be another option, but
it looks like they don't meet the above requirements.

Thx for reading
