I've got an old Epson laptop with a grayscale backlit LCD display.
The laptop originally came with a DOS utility to modify the displays
attributes. I've installed an older version of Slackware with kernel
2.2.6. I'd like to reverse the video, i.e. light characters on a dark
background. This is a command line only laptop, no X or svgalib. I
dont know where I should be looking to accomplish this. Is this a
kernel issue, or is there a *nix utility I could use?
