Northbridge: 82875P MCH
Southbridge: 82801ER ICH5R
CPU: P4 400/533/800Mhz
Integrated misc. chips:
VIA VT6306 IEEE1394a (Firewire)
Intel 82547EI Gigabit Ethernet
Realtek RTL8101L LAN
VIA Envy24PT 7.1 Channel Audio (sound)
ITE IT8712F-A Super I/O (misc. ports)
Hmm, doesn't look _too_ bad. Realtek's reportedly been a bit dodgy,
but the "8139too" driver will probably work on the RTL8101L port -- in
very recent distributions, anyway.
For the i82547EI gigabit chip, it's going to be the e1000 driver, of
course.
The Firewire port -- hmm. It's said to be an OHCI-class device, so
you'll need the ohci1394 and sbp2 drivers. Shouldn't be a problem.
Sound chip? God only knows. Might need the proprietary 4Front "OSS"
(Open Sound System) drivers.
The Serial ATA on the ICH5R will pose a minor challenge. I have a Web
page about that: "Serial ATA" on http://linuxmafia.com/kb/Hardware
Nothing else on the motherboard seems in any way problematic. You can
even have lm-sensors support for the IT8712F-A chip. See:
http://cragalaska.com/linux/linux_main.html (search for the chip name).
