Hi,

APM does not start automatically when
I use the X windows system.
It works only manually (even inside the X windows system)
by means of:

su <password>
apm -s

technical info:
motherboard: ecs L7S7A2
graphics: club-3d radeon 7000
distro: slackware 9.1 (what else ?)
I tried to set up
xfree86 with generic radeon or vesa, no luck

Any idea ?
Luciano
