CD-ROM compatability question

    Dear friends;
        I am going to load Fedora. My computer does not have a CD-ROM with
    read/write capabilities. I intend to put one in the computer. I have just
    come from Compusa and none of the CD-ROMs they offer have Linux
    compatibility listed on the box. Could someone please tell me which brand
    to get for this little project, or alternatively, which ones to avoid. I
    need the simplest possible process, since I am not a good enough computer
    wrenchman.

        Any help will be gratefully accepted.
