Can anybody give me solution how to set up Woody with the 'normal' kernel or
bf24 kernel so that i can use my scsi hdd's on my Adaptec 39160 controller?
I've searched the net, and I can only come up with the following solutions:
- Use the 'compact' kernel (But some apps won't accept this because they
use some kernel links, such as Shorewall);
- Use Redhat of SuSE (They have the driver from DELL and Adaptec also has
driver for these distro's)

Even FreeBSD 5.2 supports the Adaptec 39160 controller, so why is the not
possible in Woody? Its a relative old controller and is often used in
servers, such as from DELL, Compaq, and also some mainboard have these
onboard as chipset (Supermicro, Tyan).

Feel free to give the answer........
