I have the non raid version of this card and it will work fine with a
2.4 kernel after the modules have been compiled and inserted in the
initrd, but I have not used it to put the / on, I use it with a
seperate drive on each primary for my /home and /usr.
However if you are thinking of a 2.6 kernel then forget it, anything
over 2.6.3 and the modules will not compile, loads of errors that I
could not work around ( my C skills are still in the last century ) I
have mailed ITE this morning asking if they will update the source for
later kernels, but not got an answer yet ( I am on 2.6.5 Suse 9.1 ) so
at the moment 2 of my disks are useless unless I go back to 9.
Sorry not much help but just my experience, maybe the devs as ITE are
looking into it and may update the source I will post any reply I get
from them it must have been middle of the night in .tw when I mailed :)
