Anyone recommend a graphics card?

Hi.

I'm in the process of speccing a new Linux box for home entertainment use.
I've always used Matrox cards in the past because 3D graphics don't matter
to me and I've loved the 2D quality.

On the new box, I'm after something that will do good quality TV out, but
my knowledge about what is best these days is limited, despite doing
fairly detailed Google searches.

Ideally, I'd like to run an X display out the TV output without needing a
dedicated monitor. This could then use something like MythTV or Freevo,
presumably needing X-Video support on this output. Does anyone have any
experiences with something like this?

I guess it comes down to ATI vs nVidia. What provides the best support? I
typically use Mandrake, but will try others if necessary.

Thanks for any help.
