Hi,

This is my first post, a big welcome to all! I have installed Debian 3.0r2
and have problems with the network and sound card

I've checked webpages about HP on Linux
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showcat.php?cat=521
http://www.hp.com
also newsgroups and could not find the answer how to configure Debian with
this hardware.

I found a webpage http://www.likelinux.50g.com/ where author says that he
successfully installed sound and ethernet card on Mandrake. Unfortunately
the webpage is out of date and the links are not available any more.

On W2k the system shows that the ethernet card is:
Accton EN1207F Series PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
unfortunately not listed in supported cards
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO/nic.html

and sound:
ESS Allegro

Does anyone successfully installed Debian on HP Pavilion N5190? Could you
help me?
