Hello,
I am having trouble resolving what I beleive is an IRQ conflict between my
USB controller and network interface.
Originally, the network interface and ehci were sharing IRQ 11. booting the
kerenl with acpi_irq_balance moved ehci to another IRQ and networking worked
fine.
However, upon recompiling the kernel with ohci support, two new devices
'ohci' have been added and again the IRQs are being shared. USB and
networking no longer work, and acpi_irq_balance does not seem to help.
The bios has no option to change the IRQ for either the network interface or
USB controller and since both are onboard, physically moving them is not an
option.
I have been googling for any documentation on how linux and acpi handle
interrupts, and kernel parameters I can use to try and resolve the conflict,
but have found nothing.
I cannot post my /proc/interrupts or any of the errors I am recieving just
yet, but I will post them this evening.
Thanks,
Mark.
