I've been trying to get this card to work as well, under either SuSE or
Slackware - no success yet.
All the indications are that it is a Hermes (Orinoco) device, but the PCI IDs
don't seem to match those supplied in the Orinoco driver. I tried changing the
PCI IDs in the driver and recompiling, but then it seg-faults on loading!
I've left messages on the Orinoco development board, but not had any responses.
I managed to get it working after a fashion by going back to kernel-2.4 and
using the proprietary drivers. It worked, but no dhcp, and it filled the logs
up with useless messages!
All the info I've gleaned has come from:
www.modem-help.com/mfcs.php?mid=119&nid=13369
plus the Orinoco mailing lists on Sourceforge, but for the moment, I've gone
back to my pcmcia DLink 650+.
If you find anything I've missed, please let me know!
