Matrox Mystique og Milennium have fairly good 2D accelration and great
Linux support. And you can get them cheap everywhwre. If you want Mesa
support, a Matrox G200 or a 3DFX Voodoo 3 or 4 would be good choices, but
they are hard to find in PCI versions. I have a Voodoo 4 PCI in one of my
machines and it absolutely rules.
You might also want to try a nVidia based card, but last time i tried one,
the binary driver b0rked my system, so i wont give you any recommendations.
