Hmm, I'm running Mandrake 10 on a Toshiba 1415-S173, apart from the slight
difficulty involved installing Nvidia's 3d drivers (partly the
installation, partly the nonstandard configuration), and realizing that my
modem work with the slmodem driver, everything has worked out well.
One option that might work is
http://www.linuxcertified.com/linux-laptop-lc2464.html . The only problem
with this system is that it is a little too bleeding edge (it has an ATI
Radeon 9700 and ATI hasn't released DRI support in linux for the most
recent Radeon 9XXX cards yet).
