I always get "not a valid block device" when trying to get my camera to
connect to Linux.
I tried following the instructions at:
http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/USB-Digital-Camera-HOWTO.html
but cannot connect to my Canon ZR45MC camera.
These last few lines of dmesg may give a hint:
usb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:03.0-1 address 3
hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled
hub.c: new USB device 00:03.0-1, assigned address 4
WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured
USB Mass Storage device found at 4
usbview indicates that the device is recognized by usb-storage.
I've tried many devices (sda1, sdb1, etc) and all give the following
errors:
# mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Anthony
