Firewire Copy Server

Hello!

I am developing a pc-based linux server (debian) to duplicate one
firewire connected hard disk to a minimum of ten (10) other firewire
connected disks.

I thought I should use a mainboard with 5 PCI slots and use 5 firewire
controller cards (i.e. Adaptec FireConnect 8300), so I would be able to
connect 2 disks per controller.
The source disk should be connected to the onboard firewire connector.

My question are:
- which mainboard to use
- which firewire controllers (800)
- which software (I simply thought about using dd with tee)

Any suggestions????

Thanx a lot!
JayJay
