    I don't think it matters if it's single or double layer but I did have a
    problem with xcdroast not recognizing DVDs so I switched to k3b. It would
    only see the size as 800mb, I think I should have changed some
    configuration in xcdroast to see the 4.7gb but I just switched. k3b
    works really well with my Pioneer DVR-107.
