Suse and IBM THINKPAD T42 PM-1.8G

Hello, I am very much a linux newbie. However, to help members, I'm
going to buy, and build a laptop, Suse based.
Does anyone have any experience installing Linux on that machine?
If not, any idea about driver problems? Here are the specs I was give
at the quote:
23739ZU T42 INTEL PENTIUM M 1.8 2M L2
31P9838 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM CTO
I realize it's noting in terms of specs... but I hope someone will
say: sure, I did it, no problem (dream on)...
