Maybe that'll help you out later, once the problem with X and the
monitor is fixed.

Hm. I looked at the README for the nVidia evil binary-only kernel
module and found that you may need to set the TVStandard option to
something, since it assumes NTSC-M and TVs in .it may use something
different (PAL-G?) There should be a section in the README called
"Appendix J: Configuring TV-out" that talks about using a TV as a
primary display device. Anyway, that's one more thing to try.

Posting a URL is fine, but the tags are not necessary and can get in the
