    Hello,

I need to build a database server. It will be running MySQL on Linux.

Expecting a few thousand users a day (so x25 queries), what specs
should I aim for? My budget is ~$3000. I am already planning on a RAID
5 setup and a gigabit card. How much RAM? What motheboard features?
What processor(s)? And lastly, what OS, if it even matters?

If I to use this as the webserver as well, what design changes should
    I consider?

    Much thanks in advance!
