Brother PT-2300 driver?

Is there any work being done to make Brother PT-2300 labelwriter print from
linux through usb?
When I plugin the labelprinter, linux recognizes it as a usb device, but
doesn't have any driver for it.
My other usb printer works perfectly with linux, so I can't assume brother
pt-2300 would not work in linux.
