In general, I'd strongly recommend *Garmin*, never found any
company as generous with their products in case of problems, even
if the warranty is gone.
Try a search for "Garmin" (www.freshmeat.net), there are some
progs available.
Gpsdrive (http://www.gpsdrive.cc/) might be what you are looking
for?
Unsure if you get a receiver including Garmin mapsource CD,
perhaps it works with wine?
Win4lin/vmware should run it, if this is an option for you?
Good luck
BTW
As I was thinking about some cross-posting regarding the ngs you
are using, I'll take the opportunity and simply add the request,
hopping for the best:
Has anyone a recent mapsource working with Linux & wine? Found
only two entries (www.winehq.com) showing an older version
working and a newer unrated. Win4lin/vmware are not an option for
me.
