I am successfully running the mapping program OziExplorer under the most
recent (Oct 2004) WINE on RedHat 7.3. It works including the GPS input
from my Garmin GPSMap76. But thing run VERY slowly on my IBM Thinkpad
770 with a 233 MHz processor!
NEMA specifications ARE different from RS232, but I have yet to see a
computer that can't use the NEMA output from GPS's (although I think I
have heard of this problem).
