Hi,

My name is Neeraj and am a Novice to Linux OS. I did install the Red
hat 9.0 version on to my computer however when installation was
completed I did choose GUI mode as the next boot up mode.

On booting the display is all garbled and seems like the display card
is not recognized correctly. I have Nvidia chipset display with 128 MB
of video memory.

The problem is that once I see this garbled screen I dont have any way
to go to the console mode, where I may use different tools to setup the
display card. More over any help with the commands for bringing up the
display settings box in console would be appreciated.

I had the very same problem with my Laptop computer when I installed +
since it dose not has a floppy drive attached, it never boots up, its a
USB floppy disk moreover when I disabled the drive I got to boot up but
the display is the same way as my desktop shows up and cant use it at
all.

I have to get this box working as I need to do the certification.
Kindly, help if possible. The GRUB is bootloader and the dispay cards
on both the machines are Nvidia G force 128 MB and Laptop with 32 MB
video memory.

Thanks and Regards,

Neeraj
