Improving network performance

I have a 100 mbit network that streams movies. Satellite computers mount
the partition with movies via NFS, then play them. The network can stream
2 movies without any problems, but 3 saturate it.

The server could handle much more, but the bottleneck is the 100 mbit
network and switch.

Is it possible to add in a 64 bit network card with multiple ports, and
have linux load balance across them?
