Just a thought--
When I format my media on the computer, the camera won't accept it, and
requires that I re-format it. When I put it into the computer, though, it
reads & writes fine.
To me, this means that the format on my media is native to the camera, and
RECOGNIZABLE as a file system to the computer, but not quite the format the
computer OS would have chosen for itself.
This is kind of like when someone else designs your file system. Everything
is there, and you can find it OK, but it's not as you'd have done it
yourself, so it kind of irritates you. If re-doing it to your satisfaction
isn't an option, (like at work) you just live with it and occasionally bitch
about it (usually to like-minded people) around the water cooler.
I would try all the pertinent operations -- reading, writing, and changing
files from both sides, and if it all works OK, I'd say it's a whine error.
That is, your compuher is whining because it doesn't get its way.
