It's not enough to create just a FFS file system. You need to write
the
FFS boot files as well. You have to do it from another drive running
FFS and sys into the new drive. By the way, the FFS software knows
nothing about USB or PCMCIA, you have to do it with a 32M Flash Drive.
IA2 (perhaps for IA1) will not boot with anything smaller or bigger.
