Hello (see sig. for specs) --
I have a Maxtor OneTouch 250GB FireWire drive. Apparently, due to its
use of the Oxford 911 chip, it is capable of a maximum read speed of
35MB/s. The maximum I have ever gotten out of it was 14MB/s.
I would like to know if anyone runs an external IEEE1394 harddisk (any
one will do for a comparison) under kernel 2.6.x, and if there are
any performance improvements compared to kernel 2.4.x?
Thanks & best regards,
Rohan Beckles
