hi,
I have an onboard Via VT8233 [AC97 Audio Controller] sound card and I'm
planning to upgrade my old 2.0 cheap speakers.
I'm not willing to pay more than 90 euro for the set, so my question is:
- - do you recommend a 2.1 system (for example CREATIVE I-Trigue 2.1 3400)
- - or a 5.1 system (for example CREATIVE Inspire 5.1 P5800 Bulk)
to watch some Divx, DVD, and listen to mp3.
Can I expect to get 5.1 watching movies with the combination of onboard
via sound card and 5.1 creative speakers?
For the price I'm willing to pay, will I be better off with the 2.1 system?
Will I have to upgrade any sound drivers from the ones the system is
using nowadays (module snd-via82xx)?
Thanks in advance,
Luis
