Hi,
I'm currently using a notebook which includes a MiniPCI wifi card bard
on the Broadcom 54g chipset in a minipci card.
It can be used in Linux but only with the help of the Linuxant's
driverloader, which loads the win32 drivers under linux.
However, my home runs several access points at 802.11a (in 2x or
"turbo" mode).
So... the $1M question is:
1. Would I be able to replace the "802.11g" minipci card in my notebook
with a dual-band 802.11 a/b/g one and still use the internal antenna in
the notebook?.
2. Which 802.11 a/b/g dual-band, tri-standard card (or a/g as it's more
appropiate, because "b" comes implied with "g" :), is available which
is linux-friendly? (that is, with native linux drivers).
Thanks so much in advance for any pointers.
Fernando
