I need to make a copy of the system BIOS on an old 486 machine (which is
running Slackware 10). Is there an easy way to do this?

I was hoping the BIOS might be exposed somewhere under /proc so that
    something like 'cat /proc/bios > biosimage.bin' would work :-)

(My EPROM programmer refuses to read the BIOS that I want to copy as it
won't handle reading from Flash EEPROM chips, but I suddenly thought I bet
there's a way of doing it from the actual running machine)

    Any ideas?

    Jules
