I have a box with a gigabyte mobo, nvidia graphics and 2 hdds.
I have 3 partitions on each drive..I can run Libranet linux on any of
these partitions but on any other distro the system freezes totally if
I access apps too quickly in the desktop..If I delete mails too fast in
the mailer the system freezes and when I clicked through the choices in
gkrellm it froze again...I get no error messages and have to shut down
using the reset button...I have tried around 8 different distros and all
exhibit the same failure apart from Libranet...This also happens using
live distro's ...I have tried installing Mepis,Debian,Kanotix etc and
moving the Libranet kernel and xconfig files over but makes no
difference....I can run the mersenne prime test plus seti all night
without a problem it is only when I use the desktop/mouse too quickly
I get the failure...
Any advice much appreciated
